Once upon a timeIcefrog and Pendragon used to be inseparable. They ate together, they swam together, they would go 1v1 mid, Icefrog supported Pendragon every day, and they made a great team.

Then everything changed when Pendragon invented Riki.

No matter what Icefrog did, he could not defeat the Riki. Pendragon would laugh in Icefrog’s face, telling him to “get gud” and “L2Play”.

Icefrog still supported Pendragon, but the bitterness remained. He would KS him, “Forget” to buy wards, and even push the wave by autoattacking, just to get under his skin. The sour feelings culminated until one time Pendragon was caught in a Bane ulti. He urged Icefrog to stun the Bane so that he would be free and then the two could turn it around for a kill.

But Icefrog saved his mana for his finger of death, and Pendragon died. They lost that game.

After that, the two begame distant. Pendragon took to heavy drinking, and left icefrog to do his own thing. Icefrog had long since invented Gem and Dust, and realized that he had perhaps been too cruel to his friend. After all, Riki was not invincible, and he probably overreacted.

So he began to come up with a wonderful idea: he would design an item and name it Pendragon’s Scythe of Vyse, and give it to his friend as a Christmas present so that he would never run out of mana again, and always have a way to disable a bane ulti. He slaved over the item for years. He didn’t eat, or sleep until it was finished.

Finally, Christmas day came, and he patched the item into the game. He calle up Pendragon and said to him, “Hey! Sorry we haven’t spoken in a while, but I thought you might like this. Log into dota, I have a surprise for you.”

Pendragon responded: “What a coincidence! I have a surprise for you too.

On his screen were advertisements for League of Legends. He tried to bypass them, but every time he closed one window, another with a slightly different ad would appear. No one knows what Pendragon wrote about Icefrog’s mother, but it broke something inside of him that day. What we do know was that Dota was dead for months after that Christmas, all Icefrog’s cosmetics were stolen, and even Roshan began to wander the map, starting the first Diretide.

Every time a Dota vet thinks about Lol, he cannot but remember those times where any attempt to play the game would show nothing but little teemos dancing about his screen. And all the Lol Vets were either disciples of Pendragon or his grand-disciples, taught to hate Icefrog and dota with the same passion that Pendragon held for him.

There was once an opportunity for them to make peace; but after Icefrog refused to disable an ulting bane, and after Pendragon insulted Icefrog’s mother, nothing can be the same again.

And that’s why Dota players and Lol players hate eachother.

Dota 2 7.20 update: Pull and Stack timings – Map changes

The Pull and Stack timings updated to the 7.20 map! A summary of the main changes to towers, runes, lanes, primary and secondary jungle, and Roshan pit.

Pull and Stack timings 7.20

Note: 7.21 replaced the primary jungles’ ancient camps with big camps. The rest of the map is unchanged.

A summary of the map changes

I will have a look at the main areas of the map and explain how the changes will affect our gameplay.

I took pictures of the locations featured in this article using the standard terrain as most players are acquainted to it. Still, I suggest heading into the game and creating a private lobby to explore the map while reading the explanation.

Map themes: no symmetry and big plateaus

The two sides of the Dota 2 map have never been perfectly symmetrical, but in this patch in particular the differences between Radiant and Dire increased.

In both main jungles there is a big plateau that goes from the safe to the mid lane. If you team is able to maintain the control on this high ground area, all movements from a lane to another are faster and less dangerous.

Towers

Safe lane

Tier 1

There are no changes both on the Radiant and the Dire side, but the Radiant supports are extremely favored on pulling and stacking creeps.

This task is easy for the Radiants as now the neutral camps are next to each other – it is basically impossible to miss the pull timing.

Instead, on the Dire side the distance between the camps increased, which makes this job a lot more difficult and easier to counter.

Tier 2

Defending the tier 2 towers is immensely harder if compared to the previous patches.

Radiant

Maintaining the control of the high ground next to the tower is crucial.

There are several trees the attackers can use for cover.

The Dire team can flank easily the defenders near the tower via the stairs on the left.

The jungle area at the bottom of the tower is unchanged. It doesn’t provide a lot of space for jukes and movements.

Dire

Also in this case, the high ground area is fundamental, and it facilitates the job of the attackers who can easily flank the defenders.

There are several trees on the high ground that can be exploited to reach the ideal positions without being spotted by the tower.

The jungle area at the top of the tower is large. Overall, it helps the defenders who have a safe space under the protection of the tower.

Off lane

Tier 1

On the Radiant side, the area around the tower is pretty much the same.

It is very difficult to gank the Dire tower. There are fewer trees to hide your presence, so you can’t approach it without being spotted.

If the Radiants try using the stairs next to the tier 2 tower, the chances of success are very poor because they will move near the edge of the tower vision range.

Tier 2

Both the towers are easier to siege due to the bigger high grounds next to them. In particular, I believe the Dire side is the most disadvantaged after the 7.20 changes.

Note: In the radiant jungle (the secondary one) you can farm two neutral camps at a time, but the Dire one is the real paradise for farmers because once again they can stack and farm all the three jungle camps simultaneously.

Mid lane

Tier 1

Nothing to note for the Dire tower.

There is a new possible ganking path on the left side of the tower – I have showed it in the images above. You can move unseen from the river to the tower by cutting a single tree (images 1 to 3).

On the bright side, the Radiants have a quick route to the medium camp (image 4). All the mid heroes able to farm the jungle will surely use it to acquire extra gold.

Tier 2

The Radiant tower has been slightly moved on the right; now there is almost no unprotected space between the tier 2 and the tier 3 towers.

Roshan pit

There are no changes to the Roshan pit.

It is important to point out that the Scan tool no longer ignores units in the Roshan pit, which will impact the gameplay.

The secondary Radiant jungle has been completely reworked. Now, there are several paths, while before you were forced to follow strict routes. These changes favorite gank actions (we will have more battles on this section of the map), but also opened a direct path from the Shrine to the Roshan Pit.

Runes

Overall, the Dire side has a remarkable advantage on the runes.

Top rune

This rune is placed on a very weird spot – in short, it is a trap.

Trying to approach it via the river is literally a suicide because it is surrounded by high grounds. If the Radiants want to steal it, they must at least secure the control of the high ground on the left side of the rune.

Bottom rune

Once again, advancing via the river without vision on the high ground is a terrible idea. Dota 2 double pull guide Before, the Radiants could approach it from the right side, but now there are fewer trees, so the tower guards this passage.

Radiant

Top Rune

The tower is at a certain distance, so the Dire team can access it via the left route without risking too much.

Bottom rune

It is the easiest rune to contest. There is just a single plateau, so the Dires can safely reach it from the lane and even hide among the trees next to it.

Fix: Steam overlay not working

Steam overlay is used to access Steam while you are playing any game. You can invite friends, send messages, find guides, and reply to messages etc. You can also see which one of your friends are online and you can invite them to play the game you are playing. It is a very useful tool because it lets you access Steam within any game instead of changing windows to do that.

Many people experience a problem where their Steam overlay stops working and they are left in a tight situation. There is not a single solution for this problem as the problem varies depending on the hardware and software configuration of the user. We have listed down a number of solutions for you to test. Try them in a descending and don’t skip any solution unless prompted to.

Solution 1: Granting administrator access

The most foremost reason why your steam overlay isn’t working can be that the programs don’t have administrator access. In many computers, this is the default option when you install Steam. We will guide on how to navigate to the executable files and giving them the permissions of an administrator.

  1. Open your Steam directory. The default location of it is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam. Or if you installed Steam in another directory, you can browse to that directory and you will be good to go.
  2. Locate a file named “Steam. exe”. This is the main Steam launcher. Right click on it and select Properties. Select the Compatibility tab from the top of the screen. Here at the bottom of the window, you will see a check box stating “Run this program as an administrator”. Make sure it is checked. Save changes and exit.
  1. Now locate the file named “GameOverlayUI. exe”. Right click and select its properties. Select the Compatibility tab from the top of the screen. Here at the bottom of the window, you will see a check box stating “Run this program as an administrator”. Make sure it is checked. Save changes and exit.
  1. Restart Steam and check if the Steam overlay is working while playing any game.

Solution 2: Enabling Steam Overlay

There is an option in Steam which enables the Steam Overlay. It may be possible your overlay isn’t working because that option isn’t enabled. We can try enabling it and starting Steam again to see if the problem gets fixed.

  1. Open your Steam client.
  2. Click on the option named Steam present in the upper left side of the window. From the drop down box select Settings to open the Settings interface.
  3. Once the Settings are opened, click on the In-Game tab present on the left side of the screen. Here you will see a check box stating “Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game”. Make sure it is checked. You can also check if you are pressing the correct Overlay shortcut keys. You can also change them if you want.
  1. Now click on the Library tab present in the top of the window. The games that are installed in your computer will be listed here. Right click on the game in which the overlay isn’t working and select Properties.
  2. Here you will see another check box stating “Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game”. Make sure it is checked.
  1. Re-launch Steam and check if the overlay is working in that desired game.

Solution 3: Opening from main game folder

Another remedy is to open the game you are playing directly from its installation folder. There may be a bug if you launch the game from the Steam launcher which disables Steam overlay.

  1. Open your Steam directory. The default location of it is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam. Or if you installed Steam in another directory, you can browse to that directory and you will be good to go.
  2. Navigate into the following folders

Steam Community Overlay

The Steam community overlay is an in-game interface that allows access to many Steam Community features while playing games. The default keybind of Shift+Tab will open the overlay in any game where it is supported and enabled.

Beyond giving access to Steam community features, many games utilize the overlay in the background to support in-game features that require Steam. You may not even realize that a game is using the overlay in these cases.

Because the Steam overlay is a customizable Steamworks feature, games will use it differently depending on which features it supports and how the developer incorporated it. More detailed information can be found in the Steam community or by contacting specific game developers.

What can the overlay be used for?

  • In-game purchasing

If a game offers micro-transactions, item purchases, or any other type of in-game purchasing, the Steam overlay will be required. The overlay enables the game to communicate with Steam and allow your purchase to be made while playing.

Friend, game & group invites

You can access your friends list, Steam chat, as well as group/game invites while in the overlay. Some games utilize the overlay for party and matchmaking invites. If it is not enabled, the invites will not work.

Steam allows screenshots to be captured in-game by using the default keybinding of F12. This feature requires the overlay to capture the screenshots. The screenshots can be accessed in-game by using the overlay as well.

Trading & Market features

Many games with in-game inventory systems will use the overlay to allow players access to inventory features while in the game. If a game supports trading or market purchasing while in-game, the Steam overlay will be required.

Other community features

The overlay interface gives access to most other features that are available through the Steam website. Along with access to these features specifically, the overlay has a built in web browser.

Common Issues

Overlay Not Opening

The overlay interface does not open when pressing its default shortcut (Shift+Tab).

The first thing you’ll want to do is make sure that the Overlay is actually enabled and that your keybinding is correct. Specific instructions can be found below.

If the overlay is still not opening, make sure to follow all the Basic and Advanced steps in this article.

Overlay Freezes or Becomes Unresponsive

Because the overlay is a supplemental component of the game you are playing, it will be automatically closed should your system’s resources come under heavy load.

You’ll want to make sure that your system is in a good state by updating all major drivers, limiting the amount of programs running during gameplay, as well as updating your operating system to its latest version.

Detailed steps can be found in the troubleshooting sections below.

Enabling the Steam Overlay

Steam has a global setting that will enable or disable the Steam overlay:

Open the Steam client and navigate to the Steam > Settings/Preferences > In-game tab. Check the box next to Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game .

Additionally, each Steam game has its own setting for the overlay’s functionality:

Right-click the game in your Library > Select Properties > Under the General tab, check the box next to Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game

Steam Overlay Shortcut Keys

The Steam shortcut allows the overlay to be opened in-game. You’ll want to double check that you have it set correctly.

The default shortcut is Shift + Tab . To change the shortcut select Steam > Settings > In-game

Basic Steam Troubleshooting

The following steps will ensure that Steam is in a good state for the overlay to work. These can be performed with a minimal amount of technical knowledge.

Restart Computer

It’s always a good first step to make sure that you restart Steam as well as your computer.

Restarting the computer flushes all kinds of system states and caches, while resetting other programs and releasing locks on files and other resources.

Verify Local Game Files

Sometimes files on hard-disks and other storage devices become corrupted. Some of these files may be associated with the way the game utilizes the overlay. Verifying local files can fix this.

Find Game in Library -> Right click -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Files

Reinstall Steam

The Steam installer can be downloaded here and reinstalled to the same location where it is already installed.

This will ensure that all files required by the Steam overlay are in a good state. This process will have no effect on your installed games.

WARNING! Uninstalling Steam will delete all game content.

Advanced Troubleshooting

If the overlay is still working correctly after following the fixes outlined above, it is possible that something outside of Steam is responsible.

Because these are advanced troubleshooting steps, we highly recommend that you contact a local IT support specialist in your area for further assistance with these steps.

Investigate Firewalls

Certain firewalls may prevent Steam from communicating with the game that requires it. You’ll want to work with a tech support specialist to ensure that the Firewall is not interfering. You may even need to temporarily disable it for testing purposes. It may be necessary to add exceptions in your firewalls for Steam.

Investigate Anti-Virus Software

AV software hooks very deep into user systems and can affect disk and network operations which will cause issues with Steam. Some games also use copy protection technology that can appear as malicious software to an AV scanner, resulting in potential false-positive alerts.

You’ll want to work with a tech support specialist to ensure that your AV software is not interfering with Steam. You may even need to temporarily disable it for testing purposes. It may also be necessary to add exceptions for Steam in your AV configuration (for example, excluding Steam Library folders from live monitoring services).

Investigate Other Programs Interfering

Any software that modifies or monitors system, disk or network activity can cause issues with the Overlay’s functionality. These programs and services can run in the background and are typically associated with software like Anti-Virus, ad-blockers, web-optimizers, firewalls, system cleaners, recording software, proxies, performance boosters etc.

You’ll want to work with a specialist to ensure that no outside software is interfering with the Steam Overlay.

Upgrade Your System

If your system is at or below the required or recommended specifications for the game, the overlay may have difficulty functioning correctly.

You’ll want to work with a specialist in your area to consider upgrading your operating system, or even the hardware that your system uses.

Biography [ edit ]

KuroKy currently grew up in Berlin, Germany. [1] KuroKy suffered from disabilities to his legs, and would struggle to use his legs. He stated that this weakness was what led to him to play video games.

DotA [ edit ]

KuroKy played for a few German DotA teams before joining his first international team, mousesports, where he played with players such as Drayich. This mousesports lineup attended DreamHack Winter 2008 with Puppey acting as stand-in; this was to be the beginning of a long relationship between KuroKy and Puppey. KuroKy then joined Ks. int, which at one point had a total number of 9 players and looked more like a mix than an actual team. Some well known players in the DotA scene were on the team, such as Puppey, Vigoss and LevenT.

Dota 2 [ edit ]

2011 – 2012: Early Days [ edit ]

KuroKy’s first public appearance in Dota 2 was The International 2011 along with the game’s debut at Gamescom. He participated in the tournament under GosuGamers. net with teammates Kebap, Azen, and Mirakel. Unfortunately for them, they dropped all three group stage games and were eliminated by MiTH. Trust in the first round of the losers’ bracket.

After the unsuccessful run at The International, KuroKy went on to play in several other teams with him as the star player; the teams included PANZER and 10,000th, which were also jokingly called KKy + 4. In May 2012, he joined Virtus. pro in the hopes to qualify for a spot to play at The International 2012. [2] They won their first round match of the West Qualifiers against mTw but were eventually eliminated by mousesports and zNation. However, he got his chance to play at The International 2012 when ComeWithMe ran into visa issues and mousesports invited KuroKy to the event in his place. A stroke of luck for KuroKy and the other mouz players happened when MUFC ran into visa issues and could not make it to Seattle, leaving an extra spot for the backup teams. mouz played a best of five series against World Elite to determine who would replace MUFC in the main tournament and they took the wildcard match handedly with a 3-0 score. The main tournament itself was not a success for KuroKy as he was knocked out in the first round of the playoffs and could not improve upon his results from The International 2011.

KuroKy joined mousesports on September 16 as a temporary member, along with Alex and Kebap, to fill their roster for SLTV Star Series Season 3. [3]

2013 – 2014: Natus Vincere [ edit ]

After a short and well received stay at Mousesports, KuroKy joined Natus Vincere on February 28, 2013 as their support player alongs >[4] His first year on Na’Vi was very successful with many first place finishes and a second place finish at The International 2013. However, the second half of his Na’Vi career was largely disappointing and culminated in a 7-8th place finish at The International 2014. He left Na`Vi on August 18, 2014. [5]

2014 – 2015: Team Secret [ edit ]

Following his departure, it was revealed on August 27th, 2014 that he was on the roster for Secret Team, a team he formed with Puppey. Joining this duo were friends and former teammates on Fnatic Fly and N0tail as well as s4 from Alliance. KuroKy initially played the carry position for the newly formed Team Secret but success eluded the team as their best result was a second place finish at Star Ladder. A roster shuffle took place, swapping Fly and N0tail for Arteezy and zai from Evil Geniuses resulted in KuroKy returning to the support position alongside Puppey once again. This new Team Secret roster was more successful than the previous and, having won 4 consecutive LAN finals, they approached The International 2015 as heavy favorites. However, Team Secret exited the tournament surprisingly early to a disappointing 7-8th place finish amidst severe internal issues.

2015 and onwards: Team Liquid [ edit ]

Following TI 5 KuroKy left Team Secret to form a new team, 5Jungz, with himself as captain, where he handpicked his teammates: fellow German FATA – would play m >[6] . Team Liqu >[7] The pulsating series at the Russian capital over the course of a week saw KuroKy and his fellow team mates secure their maiden LAN win of the 2016 calendar year. At the Manila Major, Team Liquid was once again able to reach the grand finals, but finished as runners up once again, this time falling to OG. KuroKy was tied with 343 for the highest number of different heroes played at the event. Unsurprisingly, Team Liquid was invited to attend The International 2016, however another disappointingly early exit would be in store for KuroKy.

In the wake of TI6, FATA – and JerAx would leave the team and their replacements were BuLba, from Evil Geniuses, and Miracle-, from rivals OG. The new competitive season saw Team Liqu >[8] , in August 2017. After attending every single TI, KuroKy had finally done it and hoisted the Aegis after a 3-0 sweep against Newbee in the Grand Finals.

For me, I use different ability builds depending on the situation. But this is a good one:

  • This and Phantom Strike should be maxed first in order to kill faster.
  • Take this skill first to help you with last hits. PA can farm safely with this especially when you get harassed by ranged hitters.
  • When doing surprise attack, make sure your hand is quick enough to dagger and then blink, or you could blink enemy first then dagger if he escapes.

  • Using Phantom Strike to escape is tough, but when you get use to it, i’m sure escaping with this will be easy.
  • PA is kind of squishy, so you should never initiate in team fights. Let others initiate first and when things get chaotic, that’s the time you should blink and kill.
  • Use this when doing 1v1 instead of dagger. With Power Treads and blink, attack speed is damn high.

  • You should take Blur at level 3 if you suffered alot of right click harassment and take at level 5 when you could farm nicely.
  • Always see if Blur appears on you, which means enemy is close to you. Countering RIki + Dust is a good way to kill him when he’s invisible near you.
  • When you have maxed the Blur but not so fat yet, do not rush killing groups of enemies alone. Stun nuke will still brings you down quickly.

This is your basic regeneration which gives 400 HP to survive.

Since PA needs to farm hard safely, this item helps you block early harasses as it has a 60% chance to block 10 – 20 damage from creeps and heroes.

If you are going in the same lane with someone who can babysits you, you could get this item instead of Stout Shield to farm easier with 32% bonus damage.

This item has a 100% chance to block the damage from enemy heroes while 60% from other units to stay in lane a little longer when you run out of healing, if not then getting Boots and Magic Wand is better.

This boots would help you move faster than the heroes and it would enable you to chase and get in range to throw your dagger.

This item helps in health and mana regen. Also helps to build Battlefury.

This item makes you able to be like a God, because of the cleave is used in combination of Coup De Grace and could get you rampage easily.

Get this instead of Vladmir’s Offering because this item can be built into Satanic which gives 175% lifesteal for 3.5 seconds when activated.

This item have a chance to stun your target enemy unit while you whack away at their health. This item can then be built into Abyssal Blade. This item cannot stack with other basher items BUT it does stack with MKB.

This item give you INSANE lifesteal when activated and 25% lifesteal passive.

This item would stun an enemy unit for 2.5 seconds and this would go through magic immunity.

This item gives massive armor which PA needs and attack speed for more Coup De Grace!

Armor reduction by 7, Coup De Grace will hurt more with this item. This item can also be used as Core Items if you don’t want to get Battlefury. But if you’re getting this, get Vladmir for lifesteal since Helm of Dominator does not stack with Desolator.

This item solves the number 1 problem of Phantom Assassin, Health. This gives you insane health and insane hp regen when not in combat.

Coup de Grace does crit damage relative to the damage PA. So, you would crit more than 2500 with 1 Divine Rapier. But please be careful when the other team carry kills you and picks it up.

This item gives your damage by 88 and increases your attack speed which obviously boost your chance of having Coup de Grace. MKB have a passive minibash that would stun a target for 0.01 seconds and deal 100 magical damage and has the passive “True Strike” which makes your attack never misses and works against heroes with evasion.

When the enemy team have at least 2 stunners/disablers and when the enemy depends on magic like Lina, Lion, Invoker, Zeus, etc, get this after Battlefury.

When Enemy cannot easily escape, get this for attack speed and damage. This is good for 1v1 fight. I d >


Take the top lane for Dire and bot lane for Radiant to farm safe.
If played wrongly early game, Phantom Assassin’s late game and mid game will be affected badly.
If you cannot get in range to last hit without being harrassed, use your Stifling Dagger to get last hits.
DO NOT use Stifling Dagger to harass enemies at level 1. Use Stifling Dagger level 1 to get last hits only as you do not want to drain your mana and as soon as you get level 2 Dagger, you can start harassing enemy but just focus on your farming.


Mid game you should have you Battlefury done at level 11. With Battlefury, farming and killing will be easier and faster.
Mid Game you should have some kills in a team fight. When a team fight happen, NEVER EVER initiate a team fight. Let the initiator first then you get it with blink and throw Stifling Dagger to chase survivors of team fight. If the team have many disablers or stunners, you should have your Black King Bar (BKB) after Battlefury and turn it on before blinking in a team fight.

Better Matchmaking

Matchmaking for high ranking players has always been problematic and Reach aims to provide a solution to these problems. On top of a constantly evolving algorithm for our Contender division, we are also introducing scheduled play sessions. With a consistent schedule we hope to lower the amount of time our players waste on waiting and allow them to better plan their training regimen.

Reach is role-based and strictly solo queue to promote fair competition and also features an extensive behavior score system. Our primary goal with Reach is to ensure that participants are playing their best, trying their hardest, and communicating productively. We hope to use the tools we’ve developed to create a more friendly, and competitive environment for everyone to train and compete in. We’ll continually work to evolve this system and help curate a better Dota 2 community experience.

Better Opportunities

Committing to playing Dota full-time can be a risk that many talented players can’t take due to the lack of support in the tier 2 scene. Reach aims to alleviate some of the issues with a monthly prize pool of $20,000 USD for top of the leaderboard competitors, of which 50% is reserved strictly for up-and-coming amateur players. With skill and dedication our top players will be able to evolve their passion into an actual career.

Financial stability is only one obstacle between players and the world of high-profile professional Dota. Dota 2 pro scene statistics That is where the ESL Academy program comes in. The top 40 players of each season will be eligible to be drafted into an unparalleled experience at ESL One Dota event, where they will get LAN experience, help from professional coaches and networking opportunities with Dota pros. Dendi

Danil “Dendi” Ishutin (born December 30, 1989) is a Ukrainian professional Dota 2 and former DotA player. Well known for his solo mid skills, he is regarded as one of the most creative players in the scene today, and is renowned for his unorthodox play style and unconventional skill and item builds. After having played for Natus Vincere for the entirety of his professional Dota 2 career, he finally departed the active roster for the first time in September 2018. He currently plays for The Pango.

Biography [ edit ]

Born in Lviv, Ukraine, Dendi got an early start with competitive gaming in net cafes when his elder brother married, moved out and took the family’s PC with him. Dabbling with Counter-Strike first, he soon found Warcraft 3 where he played in local tournaments and built a love for the competition and a thirst to be the best. Though he was quite successful in Warcraft 3 and even won a few local championships in Lviv, he knew he had found his calling when he stumbled upon DotA. He picked up the game quickly and played it almost exclusively over the next few months.

Beginning with learning only supports, he practiced heavily and was quickly vouched to the IHCS1 league and soon created his own team for tournaments in Lviv. After he led his team to a championship in Kiev, he was drafted by a team called “Wolker. Gaming” and began his professional career at 17.

DotA [ edit ]

Dendi started playing professionally with WG in 2006. [1] He was a part of the Ukrainian squad that finished third in MYM Prime Nations the same year. Only a few months later WG made it to the grand final of one of the most prestigious tournaments at the time; MYM Prime Defending. [2] When Kingsurf. international merged with WG the next year he became a full-time member of Ks. int. [1] In late 2008 he joined DTS, only to return to Ks. int in March 2009. [3] Three months later though, Dendi returned to DTS. [4] The team would end up finishing 2nd at ESWC 2010. At the end of 2010, Dendi and DTS finished 3rd at the prestigious WDC 2010. [5] Dendi joined Natus Vincere at the end of 2010. [6]

Dota 2 [ edit ]

Dendi started his Dota 2 career with Na’Vi, who quickly established themselves as one of the best teams in the world by winning The International 2011. Na’Vi continued to dominate and won many tournaments in the years 2011, 2012 and 2013. Dendi was the center of Na’Vi’s consistent stable and skilled rosters, with his performance greatly contributing to their success.

The Natus Vincere Dota 2 team achieved significant success with Dendi as their midlaner during the first few years of the game; they finished as the runners-up for both The International 2012 and The International 2013, losing out to Invictus Gaming and Alliance, respectively. 2013 would mark the last year of Na’Vi and Dendi’s dominance in the Dota 2 scene, as they only recorded two LAN victories since January 2014. The International 2014 saw Na’Vi and Dendi finishing the tournament outside of the top 2 for the first time and the following two Internationals, TI 5 and TI 6, they would finish in last place. The results would deteriorate further, as they would fail to even qualify for The International 2017, they failed to advance out of the group stage of the regional qualifiers. This marked the first year of The International tournaments without Dendi attending as a player. The 2017/18 season started of promising for Dendi and Na’Vi, who dominated the CIS scene in the early months, crowning their improving results with their second LAN victory since 2014. However, the second half of the season saw the roster break apart and finally the team would fail to even reach the regional qualifiers for The International 2018, after losing in the open qualifier.

Four years of roster instability and poor results finally took their toll on the reputation of the Na’Vi organization and on Dendi’s status as a legendary player and a top tier midlaner. After 8 years playing mid on Na’Vi, Dendi was finally removed from the active roster in September 2018. However, Dendi vowed to continue playing professionally. After a brief stint on Tigers, Dendi joined The Pango.
